About the author
Sarah K Foster is a system . Her work examines how systems interact with human goals, and what becomes possible when false maps of reality are corrected.
More than three decades of leadership in health systems, clinical education, policy, organizational governance, and community taught her that systems fail in the same ways across very different domains. They collapse when they mistake culture for truth, authority for wisdom, compliance for ethics, or extraction for function.
Her method of examination — externalized as The Key and Compass — catches those failures. The Key distinguishes truth from construct; the Compass evaluates action by more-good-than-harm across silos and across forward time. Together they reveal what’s true and what right action requires, in any area where human flourishing is the question.
This site is the working map of that body of work: part archive, part laboratory, part public structure for what comes next.
